Irvine, CA. February 13, 2008 Ergo Sum is pleased to announce they have signed
a contract with noted artist, Vic Mastis for their first quarter offerings in 2008.
Evolving through extensive experimentation, Vic Mastis, a St. Louis artist, has
created a unique oil painting technique of multi-layered paint and gold leaf. "I
have always been fascinated by glitter and glitz wanting to incorporate that feeling
into my art. My work with new techniques and gold leaf layering with oil glazes
achieved the look I was after," stated artist Vic Mastis.
Dan Tacconelli, President of Ergo Sum commented, Vic is an exceptionally skilled
artist who has developed a singular style which captures the intrinsic play of light
and emotion in her paintings.
The debut offering will feature a collection of floral and landscape paintings where
her inspiration comes from nature and her travels around the United States.
Vic founded the Gateway Pastel Artists in 1998 which is affiliated with the International
Pastel Society, and as her interests broadened, became more involved with oil and
plein air painting and ultimately with her unique oil and gold leaf style. She is
an innovative lecturer and teacher with her paintings included in private and corporate
collections including Anheuser-Busch and the Cancer Center at St. Johns Hospital.
