Irvine, CA. March 14, 2007 Ergo Sum is pleased to announce they have signed a licensing contract with award winning artist and designer, Ping Li for their second quarter offerings that will debut at the annual Surtex Selling And Licensing Art & Design Show in New York City this month.
Ping Li is a professionally trained designer studying art at the noted Pratt Institute School of Art and Design in New York City. She has an established design firm with creative services both on the East and West coasts. Her designs have been featured in numerous trade and consumer publications, as well as, store shelves around the world.
Julie Creed, Vice President of Ergo Sum stated, Ping is an established designer with impressive credentials of award winning packaging designs for a myriad of blue chip companies. She really understands patterns, design and has the unique ability as an artist to understand consumer trends. Her imagery draws upon her culture but twists the traditional values with a modern appeal.
The debut offering will feature a bold collection of four Chinese characters and translation of the empowering words of: Bliss, Fulfillment, Longevity and Wealth amongst an original Ping Li design.
I enjoy working with shapes, whether complex or fluid and enhance them by incorporating elements to layer while keeping to the integrity of the original lines. My inspiration comes from everywhere; my garden, my experiences and my culture. Designing has always been my passion said artist, Ping Li.
Building upon enhanced imagery and artful expression; the hallmarks of the collection The Ergo Sum brand focuses on licensing options from a coterie of artists for the home furnishings, gift accessories, and apparel market.
