Irvine, CA. - October 29, 2003 - Ergo Sum is pleased to announce they have signed a
contract with artist, Lorraine Iwamasa for their fourth quarter offerings.
Lorraine Iwamasais a classically trained artist. Upon graduating from El Camino College
with an AA degree in Art, Lorraine was awarded the prestigious Lila North Memorial Art
Scholarship. She furthered her education by graduating Cum Laude with a BA degree in
Art from California State, Long Beach specializing in oil and acrylic paints.
Dan Tacconelli, President of Ergo Sum stated, "Lorraine looks at light differently - she's
able to capture subtle nuances in the varying degrees of texture, shading, and color. Her
works of natural elements evoke a warmth, comfort, and charm."
The debut offering will feature a collection of still life fruits and vegetables where her
inspiration often comes from nature, dreams, and travels.
"I am in love with the still life as my subject" said artist, Lorraine Iwamasa. "Organic
objects such as apples, gourds, pumpkins and certain types of vegetables never fail to
fascinate me and I'm continually trying to capture the radiant, natural beauty they convey.
It is not so much that I am trying to copy the object itself but that I interpret my own
feelings about the object and express the appreciation I have for the miracle called
nature and life itself."
Building upon enhanced imagery and artful expression; the hallmarks of the collection - The
Ergo Sum brand focuses on licensing options from a coterie of artists for the home furnishings, gift accessories, and apparel market.
